Welcome to Raya’s Paradise – Compassionately Serving Residents in and Around Orange County

Our community sits near the Pacific, and that ocean calm touches almost everything we do. Residents spend time in sunlit courtyards and secure garden walkways, then relax on shaded patios where the breeze settles the afternoon.
Indoors, you will find bright communal spaces for conversation and programs, and soothing private suites that reduce confusion and promote rest. Families from Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, Mission Viejo, Irvine, Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and San Juan Capistrano choose us because we combine the intimacy of a boutique residence with the expertise of an experienced dementia care team.
As one family member, Boris D., shared, “My relative is in this facility. When I go visit her, I always think that when I am of the age and need care, I would absolutely love to board there, and maybe sometimes as a vacation now. They have a chef and food is amazing!!! they actually feed visitors sometimes :). Truly a 5-star place.”
We also offer memory care services at our Los Angeles residences.
Understanding Memory Care in Orange County
Memory care is a specialized type of senior living for people who experience changes in memory, thinking, and behavior. While assisted living supports meals, mobility and daily activities, memory care adds secure environments, structured routines and therapeutic engagement to reduce stress and support function. If you want a quick primer for families, the Alzheimer’s Association explains memory care in simple terms, and the National Institute on Aging offers research-backed guidance on Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
At Raya’s Paradise in San Clemente, licensed nurses are on site at all hours, caregivers receive ongoing dementia-specific training and daily life follows predictable patterns that create comfort. Our goal is to ease anxiety, preserve dignity, and help residents enjoy small moments of connection.
One daughter, Janice C., told us, “I was genuinely impressed by the environment, staff, and overall atmosphere. I was greeted with kindness and professionalism. The home is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated—it truly feels more like a luxury home than a facility. The residents are well cared for and engaged in meaningful activities. What stood out most to me was the personalized attention and compassion shown by the caregivers.”
Raya’s Paradise in Orange County provides specialized memory care services in a warm, coastal setting where residents and families feel at home. If your loved one is living with Alzheimer’s disease, another form of dementia or related cognitive conditions, choosing the right community is one of the most important decisions you will make.
Families across Southern California look for more than a facility, they want safety, compassion and everyday life that still feels like life. Our San Clemente residence was designed for that purpose.
What You Can Expect
Each day flows with a gentle rhythm. Residents wake in private suites that can be personalized with favorite photos and cherished items. Breakfast is unrushed, conversation is easy, and activities begin when people are ready. Art projects invite creativity, music sessions spark old memories, and short garden walks bring fresh air and quiet focus. Afternoon programs may include reminiscence circles or light movement, and evenings favor calm routines that support better sleep.
Seasonal celebrations add variety without disrupting structure. Families join for holiday meals and coastal afternoons, then stay for a movie or a music event. These touchpoints keep relationships strong, and they remind everyone that this is still a home, just one with more support.
Nutrition supports the brain and body, so dining is central to daily life. Our culinary team cooks with fresh, often local ingredients, and prepares meals that balance comfort with nutrition. Special diets can be accommodated, including diabetes-friendly and heart-healthy menus. Meals are served family style to encourage conversation and familiarity, and the atmosphere does not feel clinical. One visitor summed it up well, it feels like dinner at home, only with restaurant quality food.
For general guidance on eating well as we age, we point families to the NIA’s healthy eating resources, then we tailor choices here to fit preferences and needs.
Structured engagement helps memory, mood and social connection. Residents enjoy music that taps long-term recall, art that reduces stress, reminiscence that reconnects life stories and gentle fitness that supports mobility and balance. Short outdoor time in secure courtyards provides sensory cues that often calm a restless mind. These are not diversions, they are intentional supports that help each person feel more like themselves.
Families want a community that protects without feeling restrictive. In our residence, floor plans are intuitive, sightlines are clear and lighting is warm and consistent. Suites and common areas include call systems, and outdoor spaces are enclosed and easy to navigate. Entry points are monitored and unobtrusive wander prevention options are available when needed. These features allow residents to move freely and safely, and they give families confidence.
If you would like a broader overview of home and community safety for dementia, the CDC’s dementia safety pages are a useful reference for general best practices.
Buildings matter, people matter more. We hire for heart and teach for skill. Caregivers train in dementia communication, redirection and de-escalation, then learn each resident’s preferences, routines and triggers. Licensed nurses oversee care plans and medications and coordinate with physicians and specialists.
Our staff-to-resident ratio stays low, which means attention is personal and help arrives quickly. Families who moved a loved one from larger, institutional settings often notice the difference immediately, they use words like attentive, warm and personal.
Care feels better when families feel included. From the first conversation, we invite you into the process. You can expect clear updates, quick responses and scheduled care-plan reviews. You are welcome at meals and programs, and you can participate in decisions that shape each day. If you are just beginning the search, the Alzheimer’s Association caregiver guides offer practical checklists and support tools that many families find helpful.

Come for a meal, join a program, and see how a coastal setting, specialized care and personal attention come together in a community that feels like home.
Comparing communities can feel overwhelming, so focus on what will matter most in daily life. Ask about training and staffing, not only weekdays but evenings and weekends. Walk the halls, listen to the dining room and notice how people speak to residents.
Review sample activity calendars, then ask how staff adapts activities for different stages. Request a transparent pricing outline, and confirm what is included. Our team is happy to walk you through those details and provide a simple, written summary.
Costs vary by suite and level of support. We use a straightforward model that begins with your preferred suite, then adds a personalized care plan. Families pay for what their loved one needs, and nothing more.
Many families tell us that our smaller setting, higher staffing and consistent engagement deliver exceptional value, because quality of life rises for everyone, resident and family alike.
Trust grows in small, everyday moments. A caregiver remembers the song that softens a restless morning. A nurse notices a change before it becomes a setback. A family calls after hours and hears a calm, familiar voice. Our community remains intentionally intimate, which keeps attention personal and communication simple. When families describe Raya’s Paradise as a place that feels like home, it is because every detail aims at dignity, comfort and meaning.
Families often tell the story better than we can.

“My mom lived here for over a year, and our experience was nothing short of wonderful. The building is beautiful, serene, and located right next to the water — it created such a peaceful environment for her, and it was always comforting for us to visit.
The staff is absolutely incredible. Every single person we met was kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to providing the best care possible. It really felt like a second home for my mom.
A special shoutout to Monica, who is amazing. She was always available to take my calls, answer questions, and offer thoughtful updates. Having her there felt like having a trusted family member looking after my mom. Her warmth, knowledge, and communication made a huge difference for us.
The only reason we left Raya’s Paradise was because our family relocated to New York. If not for the move, my mom would still be there today.
If you’re considering Raya’s Paradise, don’t hesitate. You can absolutely trust them to care for your loved one with the compassion and dignity they deserve.“

“There’s no place like home! I have a loved one living at Raya’s and this one of a kind care facility is incredible in so many ways! I visit almost every day and enjoy many of the activities and meals with my loved one and fellow residents.
From the minute I enter Raya’s Paradise, there is a consistent atmosphere of peace and friendship. The entire facility from the top to the bottom is beautifully designed and decorated. Each room and furnishings are impeccably clean and show beautifully . The ocean views offer residents and visitors tranquility and beauty every day.
I can rest assured my loved one receives excellent care 24/7. If a life threatening situation should occur. Raya’s has proven they have quality and immediate response protocols in place.
All of Raya’s staff are professional, helpful, kind and caring. Unlike other assisted living and memory care competitors, Raya’s is privately owned, therefore there is a distinct difference from the commercially owned and operated establishments. I know this because prior to moving to Raya’s my loved one lived in a commercially run and managed facility. The difference between that place and the Raya’s is like night and day.
I consider Raya’s Paradise my home away from home. The staff and others there have become my husband’s and my extended family. When I am away from San Clemente, I do not have to worry that my husband is loved, safe, and being professionally cared for.
If you are searching for this type of lifestyle, you must visit Raya’s Paradise. You will see for yourself what a piece of “paradise” Raya’s Paradise truly is!”

“My dad lived the last six months of his life at Raya’s, and I don’t believe he could have asked for better. The high staff to resident ratio ensured better care and hygiene than what we could accomplish even with 24 hr home care. He was in significant decline due to Alzheimer’s and for the last three months had supplemental hospice care; yet Raya’s helped him (and us) through the difficult time. I visited him every couple of days and my mom was with him every day. As a family, we felt welcome to be with him as much as we wanted and had the comfort knowing he was well cared for when we weren’t with him. Raya also hosted periodic lunches/dinners on the rooftop balcony, which gave our extended family a happy way to get together in the difficult part of the decline. The property is new, clean, well maintained and welcoming.”

“Raya’s Paradise is a beautiful place with wonderful people who care about the residents.
My aunt stayed there for a short time before she passed and they went out of their way to accommodate her.
They made the family always feel welcome.
A must look at.
Thank you David and all!”
